Subnet Mask

Static IP

- Automatic setup
- Your device automatically gets its IP address and other settings from a DHCP server
- More common for everyday devices
DHCP
- Automatically assigning IP addresses and other network configuration details to devices on a network
Purpose
- Automatically assign IPs, removes need for manual configuration
- Prevent IP conflicts
- Flexible network changes
